This is my absolute favorite herbal tea! It is delicious!I was so glad to find it on after my local store stopped carrying it.Each bag is in its own sealed pouch to keep it fresh while I consume all six boxes.
At first, I smelled a strong apple scent and was scared that it'd be overpowering, but once it steeped, I tried it, and was delightfully proven wrong. It has such a naturally sweet flavor, but also has the right amount of spice added with it to make me feel like I was sipping on a liquid Christmas.
I love Earl Grey tea and I love lavender, so this tea was ideal for me. I used up my last box a few weeks ago and started looking in my area grocery stores. I couldn't find any, so fearing it had been discontinued (as happens as soon as I find something I really like) I ordered from . All expiration dates are April 2021, the box was a Twinings box inside a padded stronger box, shipping was fast (ordered Saturday morning, received Sunday). The price was $19.69 for six boxes of 20--when I finally found a box at a local store, it was $4.99 for 20, so I saved ten dollars right off the bat.As for the tea itself...the lavender is not overpowering but definitely there, blending nicely (to my taste) with the bergamot flavor of Earl Grey. Very happy with this product and order.
I originally purchased this tea when I had a sore throat and found it to be very soothing. I'm not a big tea drinker, but the lemon and ginger flavors aren't too overpowering in my opinion, making it not terribly harsh for that particular use.Fast forward a few months and my wife had a somewhat persistent cough brought on by a virus and exacerbated by the cold, dry air. She absolutely loves this tea. So much so that I ordered 6-20 packs. She really enjoys the flavor, but it almost immediately stops her cough every time. I tend to make it with a slice of lemon and some honey, then leave the tea bag in there for a few minutes. The bag tends to be fine to reuse for another cup as well, which it makes it an even better product. If you like really strong tea, then I wouldn't recommend reusing. Otherwise, it works great.Soothing, good flavor, and great for cough and sore throat. Good, good stuff. Both from a tea and non-tea drinker.
I LOVE my tea strong, and this is currently my favorite tea. My favorite from before was Bigelow Earl Grey, but I have an allergy problem with the bergamot oil now I believe.I like bagged tea because I make a single cup for myself probably about 3 or 4 times a day. I don't add ANYTHING to my tea, and I steep it for 9 minutes. I always make sure to not get the water too hot though, or it tastes bitter. There is a difference between strongly steeped tea and bitterness (burning the leaves!)I'm ordering it from now because people are always buying all of it out in my local Wal-Mart. It's much easier this way.Bigelow and Twinings brand tea are the only bagged tea I will drink. All the rest I've tried usually taste low-quality.Except for Triple Leaf Tea and Yogi, but Yogi teas always make me sleepy because of an ingredient they add to most or all of them. I can't function drinking it.I love Twinings English Breakfast as well, but I usually would rather have this. This is stronger, and I will drink the English Breakfast to have a different taste sometimes. The Decaf version tastes strange to me though, as do all Decaf teas.
